IUE offers four-year programs of study in the following fields: International Relations, English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, IT, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Management Information Technology (MIS), and more.

In general, all courses are conducted in either Kurdish or Arabic with some content in English, depending on the field of study.

IUE offers an exceptional standard of education with local and internationally qualified instructors, many of whom received their education abroad.

Those students who attain a sufficiently high grade may be eligible for a scholarship.

Yes, we do. We have permanent and visiting lecturers from a variety of different countries including Australia, Canada, Germany, Korea, the Netherlands, Lebanon , United Kingdom and the USA amongst others.

We do indeed! We have developed relationships with a number of different higher education institutions around the word and continue to work on expanding our network.

The IUE Library is on the third floor of the main building. Books can be checked out for up to one week. The library contains a large study space, a number of PCs in addition to free WiFi.

There are two computer labs on campus with free WiFi.

A large cafeteria is located on the first floor of the main building. Our café offers daily ‘meals-of-the-day’ along with a variety of local and international food.

Prayer rooms (separate for men and women) are available at all times in the main building on the third floor.

For each course you are required to pass a midterm and final exam. The pass mark is 50%.

Any form of plagiarism or academic dishonesty will not be tolerated. Students who are caught plagiarising may be expelled from the university.

Punctuality and attendance: There is a minimum level of attendance required for each course and you are expected to arrive on time. Mobile phones: These must be switched off during lectures. Your responsibility: You are responsible for obtaining and bringing with you to class any teaching materials required as well as standard equipment such as pen, paper etc.

There are many activities you can take part in outside the university such as sport, raising money for charity, volunteering and more. Throughout the year, we have events happening every week ranging from seminars and symposiums to conferences. Students are also encouraged to propose and organise new activities themselves.
